Welcome! I am based in the South of England. Normally I am an IT consultant
(see my company's site, Report Source),
but every so often I get itchy feet and head off to see some other part of the world - for a map
of some of my trips, check out the World Map.
Most of my friends and colleagues are either jealous or think I am completely mad, often both.
When people ask me why I go to visit places like Russia,
Mongolia,
China,
Israel,
Egypt,
Kenya and
India, among others, the answer is usually because they are there.
Or why I went from London to
Hong Kongby train - well, you see an awful lot more that way
than by flying. OK, it takes five weeks, not 13 hours, but check out the photos and the stories
about places and, more particularly, people, and maybe you'll see why. If not, you're definitely
in the category that would consider me to be completely mad!
