On the twelve hour road trip from Tel Aviv to Cairo, we crossed the Suez Canal.
The coach overtook an enormously long queue of local traffic, mainly trucks.
Apparently anything related to tourism gets priority - just as well, or we'd
probably still be in the desert waiting for a ferry.

where the pyramids get lit up by flood- and laser-light as the sphinx narrates
the story of the pyramids and the Egyptian pharoahs.
After a tour round the pyramids on a flatulent camel named Michael Jackson,
I ate with the Bedouin in a stable near the pyramids. I don't know what
most of the food was, but it was delicious - all eaten by hand.
