I stayed with friends in Switzerland, but took a day to use my
Inter-Rail ticket to full effect and take a tour to some of the most
beautiful parts of the country.
I started by travelling to Bern, then to Interlaken where I changed
onto the narrow gauge line to Meringen. From here, the private
MIB railway takes you on a single electric railcar to Innertkirchen
in about 10 minutes. The surrounding mountains are beautiful. I
returned to Aarau via Luzern.
