First stop in Australia was Sydney. This vibrant city is instantly
recognisable from this view of the famous Harbour Bridge and the Opera
House, taken from Macquarie Point.
The Harbour Bridge itself. You can just make out people at the top
of the bridge, and walking back down the left-side of the arch. The
Bridge Climb is a must-do experience for young and old. It is perfectly
safe - the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the planning and
equipment involved is second to none, and the view from top is fantastic.
The world-famous Opera House is a masterpiece of design and architecture.
There are hour-long guided tours of the facilities, but it is well worth
going to a concert to really appreciate the venue.
This view of the harbour from the top of the Centre Point tower
shows the city and its beautiful surroundings in all its glory.
This shot of St. Marys Cathedral in Hyde Park is also taken from the
Centre Point tower, whose shadow can be seen in the foreground.
Taronga Zoo is well worth a visit. It is accessed by a ferry ride from
Circular Quay, and features a wide selection of animals from all around
the world. It especially features native animals of course - a firm
favourite for photography being the Koala.
These Western Grey Kangaroos seem to be enjoying the weather by giving
each other a shoulder massage.
One of the best things about the trip to the zoo is the view back
towards the city from the top of the hill.
The famous Bondi Beach - easily accessible by bus from the city center.
